On Saturday the 19th of February 2022, in Uhrovec (Slovak Republic) in the house where Ľudovít Štúr and Alexander Dubček were born, a protocol of cooperation was signed between the Archives of Vojvodina and the Association of Notable Slovaks (Spoločnosť slovenských velikánov). On behalf of the Archives of Vojvodina, the protocol was signed by the Director Dr. Nebojša Kuzmanović, while on behalf of the Association of Notable Slovaks the protocol was signed by the President of the Association JUDr. Jozef Škultéty.
At the same time, during this event Dr. Nebojša Kuzmanović received, on behalf of the Association of Notable Slovaks, the ”Alexander Dubček Golden Medal” for his outstanding contribution to the development of cultural and social ties between the Slovak Republic and the Republic of Serbia.
The work meeting, which was attended by members of the Association, as well as representatives of the Archives of Vojvodina consisting of: Director Dr. Nebojša Kuzmanović, Assistant Director Kristijan Obšust and digitization process operator Vladimir Mučibabić, had solidified the cooperation between the Archives of Vojvodina and the Association of Notable Slovaks. In that sense, as part of the anniversary commemorating the Slovak National Uprising, at the end of August 2022 in Uhrovec in the exhibition area of the Association, there will be an exhibition by the Archives of Vojvodina dedicated to the suffering of Serbs, Slovaks and Jews on the territory of the AP Vojvodina during the Second World War and which will contain copies of archival records from the Archives of Vojvodina fonds. Likewise, co-publishing was agreed upon for the book ”Alexander Dubček. From the Perspective of International Politics and Individuals”, or more specifically the translation of this publication from Slovak to Serbian. In the sense of mutual cooperation, the promotion of said publication was agreed upon, which will take place at the Archives of Vojvodina as well as joint exhibition activities.
During their stay in Uhrovec, the delegation from the Archives of Vojvodina, thanks to the organization done by the Association of Notable Slovaks, visited a memorial complex dedicated to the Slovak National Uprising, the local museum in Uhrovec as well as other sights in Uhrovec and its surroundings.
