On Tuesday the 22nd of February 2022, at the invitation by the MP and Chairman of the Committee of the National Council of the Slovak Republic for Defense and Security Juraj Krúpa, the delegation of the Archives of Vojvodina held a work meeting at the building of the Slovenská národná rada (Slovak National Council).
During the talks with the Chairman of the Committee of the National Council of the Slovak Republic for Defense and Security, the Director of the Archives of Vojvodina Dr. Nebojša Kuzmanović and Assistant Director of the Archives of Vojvodina Kristijan Obšust presented the main and project activities of the Archives of Vojvodina.
During the meeting, it was agreed upon that, during October 2022 when the Slovak National Council convenes, a thematic lecture (organized by the Slovak National Council and the Archives of Vojvodina) would be held concerning Serbian-Slovak relations in front of Slovak MPs.
The friendly discussion included, among other things, topics concerning Serbian-Slovak cultural and social relations in the past, but also in the modern social context, whereby Dr. Nebojša Kuzmanović thanked the Slovak MPs for their principled and unanimous stance when it comes to not recognizing the self-proclaimed so-called country of Kosovo. MP and Chairman of the Committee of the National Council of the Slovak Republic for Defense and Security Juraj Krúpa highlighted the fact that the Slovak National Council will not change its clear stance that the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Serbia and other countries is inalienable, despite secessionist tendencies.
