On Wednesday the 31st of August 2022, at the Office for Slovaks Living Abroad, a mutual work meeting was held which was attended by the General Director of the Office for Slovaks Living Abroad Mgr. Milan Ján Pilip, Dr. Milina Sklabinski from the Secretariat of the President’s Office, the Director of the Archives of Vojvodina Dr. Nebojša Kuzmanović, Assistant Director of the Archives of Vojvodina Kristijan Obšust, Mária Blažeková from the Advisory Department of the Office for the Slovak Republic Government and digitization operative Vladimir Mučibabić.
The meeting dealt with furthering cooperation between the Office for Slovaks Living Abroad and the Archives of Vojvodina in the sense of using archival records (vital records) that contain information about the Slovak national minority in Serbia, which is in part stored in the fonds of the Archives of Vojvodina. Likewise, there was discussion at the meeting concerning possible institutional support by the Office for Slovaks Living Abroad in the sense of an exhibition concerning the suffering of Serbs and Slovaks during the Second World War which will be organized by the Archives of Vojvodina and partner institutions and will be set up at the Palace of the Ministry of Culture of the Slovak Republic in Bratislava in October 2023.
