On Thursday the 30th of March 2023, a delegation from the Archives of Vojvodina (the Director of the Archives of Vojvodina Dr. Nebojša Kuzmanović, Assistant Director Kristijan Obšust and digitization operative Vladimir Mučibabić), accompanied by the Advisor to the Prime Minister of the Slovak Republic Government for the Policy Concerning the Slovak Diaspora Ms. Iveta Galbavá, visited the Slovak National Archives (Slovenský národný archív) which has the status of a central archival institution on the territory of the Slovak Republic. After visiting the depot, reading room, a conservation and restoration workshop, digitization center and the library, whereby the representatives from the Archives of Vojvodina were acquainted in great detail with the activities of this prestigious institution, a meeting was held with several heads of departments from the Slovak National Archives as well as a special meeting with the General Director of this institution Mgr. Ivan Tichý, PhD.
At the meeting, the main and project activities of the Archives of Vojvodina were presented and preliminary cooperation was agreed upon with the Slovak National Archives mainly in the sense on joint publication activities, as well as in the sense of potential training with regard to conservation and restoration, seeing as how at the Slovak National Archives, for several decades now, one of the greatest experts in Europe the world, concerning conservation and restoration, doc. Ivan Galamboš works there.
