On Tuesday the 28th of March 2023, a delegation from the Archives of Vojvodina (the Director of the Archives of Vojvodina Dr. Nebojša Kuzmanović, Assistant Director Kristijan Obšust and digitization operative Vladimir Mučibabić) visited the State Scientific Library in Banská Bystrica (Štátna vedecká knižnica v Banskej Bystrici).
After a tour of this prestigious institution and learning about its activities and collections, a meeting was held between the representatives of the Archives of Vojvodina and the representatives of the Library headed by its Director PhDr. Oľga Doktorová. Apart from presenting the main, project and publishing activities of the Archives of Vojvodina to the representatives of the Library, strategic cooperation was agreed upon with this cultural institution of national significance which includes the following: an exchange of experts with the goal of having special training courses and exchange of experiences, especially with regard to modern methods of processing fonds and collections, including digital documents; joint scientific and research initiatives; organizing joint events (exhibitions, conferences, seminars, consultations and professional training); enabling access to archival records in order to conduct research in accordance with the rules concerning the use of archival records of the Archives and the Library; exchange of publications and scholarly literature as well as the participation of experts and archivists as lecturers on scientific and professional conferences organized by the Library or Archives.
