Yesterday, on the 3rd of March 2020 at the gallery area of the Archives of Vojvodina, the Head of the Digitization Center of the Museum of the Slovak National Uprising from Banská Bystrica, engineer Ján Šperka, held a lecture titled ”Digitization Center in Banská Bystrica as a result of a national project” through which he presented the work of this institution which deals the digitization of cultural heritage.
After the lecture, a joint meeting was held whereby the guest from the Slovak Republic was introduced to the main and project activities of the Archives of Vojvodina and consequently was presented with the possibility of further cooperation between the Archives of Vojvodina and the Museum of the Slovak National Uprising in the form of digitization.
Apart from the Director of the Archives of Vojvodina Dr. Nebojša Kuzmanović and Ján Šperka, other employees from the Archives of Vojvodina were present – Assistant Director of the Archives of Vojvodina Milena Popović Subić , Head of the Department for Documentation, Information and the Information System Ljiljana Dožić, Head of the Department for Digitization and Microfilming Dejan Maoduš, Head of the Department for Arranging and Processing New Archival Records Sanja Gavrilović, Head of the Department for Arranging and Processing Older Archival Records Dejan Jakšić, as well as other employees working in the Archives of Vojvodina such as Kristijan Obšust and Tihomir Kostović.
As part of the visit to the Archives of Vojvodina, engineer Ján Šperka went to see the depots of the Archives as well as the Laboratory for Conservation and Restoration.
During his stay in Novi Sad, the Archives of Vojvodina organized for Ján Šperka a visit to the Museum of Vojvodina where the Head of the Museum Documentation Department Ilija Komnenović and informatician Natalija Vulikić presented the achievements of this institution in the field of digitization of cultural heritage. He also had a look at the permanent exhibition of the Museum of Unification where he spoke with the Director of this institution Zoran Veljanović.
