On the 3rd of December 2018, the Ambassador of the United States of America in the Republic of Serbia, Kyle Scott, as well as Cultural Attache Michael Brooke and members of the US delegation, attended the Adventure in the Balkans 1915 book promotion, named after a manuscript of the same name, written by Douglas Dold, an American and member of the Columbia Relief Expedition to Serbia from the Columbia University during 1915. The book ”Adventure in the Balkans” was written for the commemoration of the one hundred year anniversary of the end of the First World War and the unification of the territories of Vojvodina with the Kingdom of Serbia in 1918.
Dr. Nebojša Kuzmanović, Director of the Archives of Vojvodina gave a welcome speech to the guests and visitors.
Dragana Milošević, Provincial Secretary for Culture, Public Information and Relations with Religious Communities, gave a few words about the book, reminding the audience of the love that Mihajlo (Michael) Pupin, a Serbian, professor and humanist, had for his country.
Ljiljana Dožić, archival consultant in the Archives of Vojvodina, spoke about the motivation, the topic and the choice of documents for the book.
His Excellency, Ambassador of the United States of America in the Republic of Serbia Kyle Scott, likewise gave a speech about the book and about the importance of Serbian-American relations.
