On Friday the 31st of March 2023, a delegation from the Archives of Vojvodina (the Director of the Archives of Vojvodina Dr. Nebojša Kuzmanović, Assistant Director Kristijan Obšust and digitization operative Vladimir Mučibabić) attended a meeting with the Director of the specialized Archives of the Monuments Board of the Slovak Republic (Archív Pamiatkového úradu SR), state advisor and Chairwoman of the Society of Slovak Archivists (Spoločnosť slovenských archivárov) Mgr. Martina Orosová, PhD.
After a presentation of the main and project activities of the Archives of Vojvodina, and being informed about the activities of the Society of Slovak Archivists, an agreement concerning strategic cooperation was reached between the Archives of Vojvodina and the Society concerning the following activities: inter-archival, scientific and educational cooperation with the goal of mutual exchange of experiences by archivists and other experts and conservators with regard to application of new technologies in protecting and preserving archival records; organizing mutual visits by archivists and experts; creating joint projects and applying for funds in organizations on the territory of the Republic of Serbia and the Slovak Republic as well as jointly applying in international projects and funds; organizing joint events (exhibitions, conferences, consultations and professional training); enabling access to archival records in order to conduct research in accordance with the regulations of both countries and the rules concerning the use of archival records in archives; researching archival records concerning specific topics that are of interest for one of the signatories; an exchange of copies (microfilms, scanned documents and digital records); an exchange of publications as well as the participation of archivists as lecturers in scientific conferences that are organized by the Society of Slovak Archivists or the Archives of Vojvodina. During the meeting, specifics were agreed upon with regard to shrot-term projects in the sense of cooperation between archivists from the Republic of Serbia and the Slovak Republic, or more specifically the joint participation in archival conferences in the Slovak Republic as well as the Republic of Serbia.
