To commemorate the annual Sava’s Day (Savindan) festivity, the Archives of Vojvodina has decided to present the manuscript heritage of Svetozar Pajić Dijak (Karejski tipik, Pečat Svetog Save).

On the 25th and 26th of January 2021, students of the 3rd and 4th grades of the ”Jovan Jovanović Zmaj” Gymnasium, of the mathematical and informational sections, visited the Archives of Vojvodina together with their professor of sociology Marija Vasić in order to see the ”Martyrs of Čurug – Seized from Oblivion” exhibition.

As part of the Frozen Silence (Ledena tišina) program dedicated to commemorating the anniversary of the infamous Novi Sad Raid that took place in January of 1942, an exhibition was opened titled ”Places of Mass Executions During the Novi Sad Raid” in the ”Youth Forum” (Tribina mladih) of the Cultural Center of Novi Sad. Today on the 21st of January 2021, the Archives of Vojvodina officially opened an exhibition of archival documents  titled ”Martyrs of Čurug – Seized from Oblivion” (Mučenici čuruški – otrgnuti od zaborava). The exhibition is dedicated to the victims of the persecution in Čurug during January of 1942.

Today on the 15th of January 2021, at 12 o’clock at the Archives of Vojvodina, a promotion of a monograph called: ”From Unification to Recreation, Vojvodina in the Kingdom of SCS/Yugoslavia 1918 – 1941” (Od prisajedinjenja do prekrajanja, Vojvodina u Kraljevini SHS/Jugoslaviji 1918 – 1941), by author Saša Marković took place.

Today on the 9th of January 2021, after the morning service in the Church of the Ascension of the Holy Mother of God in Titel, a commemoration was held for the citizens of Titel murdered in the Raid in Šajkaška Street in January 1942.

The Director of the Archives of Vojvodina Dr. Nebojša Kuzmanović, used the event from the previous day in order to give certain books as a present.   Today on the 8th of January 2021 the Director of the Archives of Vojvodina, Dr. Nebojša Kuzmanović, arrived at Gardinovci to play his respects at the monument dedicated to the murdered residents of Gardinovci on behalf of the provincial government. More than 30 citizens of Gardinovci were killed on the bloody Christmas in 1942

Stevan Rajčević 1944 – 2020 On the 30th of December 2020 Stevan Rajčević Director of the Archives of Vojvodina from 2003 to 2013, has passed away after a short and deadly disease. Everyone at the Archives of Vojvodina would like to express our condolences for this great loss. The funeral of our dearly departed will
